The broad experience achieved by the universities of A Coruña and Magdeburg in the training of civil engineering and water engineering professionals during the last decades, has culminated in the development of a Joint International Master Degree meeting the requirements of the European Space of Higher Education set by the Bologna Treaty.
At the moment there is an increasing need of qualified professionals in the field of Water and Environmental Engineering not only highly skilled in these fields of expertise but also having the qualifications that allow them to develop their professional activity within an international environment.
The masters in water engineering being taught at the universities of A Coruña and Magdeburg have been merged since 2012 into a joint programme.

Professionals specializing in water issues and qualified to work in specialized and general consulting firms, laboratories, service companies, construction companies. Qualified personnel for the development of Water engineering research Training period (15c) in companies and institutions linked to the UDC will be a compulsory subject and it will increase option for their employment.
